We created an automated social media system using Make, and it’s significantly boosted our team’s efficiency. Seriously… every 10 posts we automate with this process saves us a minimum of 6 hours — freeing up more time for valuable activities like creating videos for you!

There’s too many details to fit everything in this email, so follow along with our video to create your own automation — either by replicating the steps exactly or by modifying the core concepts we outline to create an automation tailored to your needs.

How Our Automation Works

We simply post the URL of a news article into a designated Slack channel (this is our trigger). Then the automation performs a series of tasks that would otherwise require time-consuming manual effort, including:

• Scraping the article (i.e., extracting data from the article’s HTML code)

• Converting that code into text, which is then summarized by ChatGPT

• Creating optimized social media posts from that summary

• Generating an accompanying image using DALL-E 3

• Compiling the post information into a Google Sheet for our approval or revision

• Adding approved posts to our X & LinkedIn pages (follow us!)

• Trigger: A new support ticket is created
